Having dedicated over 16 years to educational leadership across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, I am deeply passionate about creating learning environments where every child can flourish. At Sherborne School Jeddah, we have the unique opportunity to establish a school that combines the distinguished heritage and academic rigour of Sherborne with an innovative, forward-thinking approach that prepares our pupils for success in an ever-evolving world.
My vision for our new school centres on nurturing curiosity, character, and excellence in every pupil. Together with our Founding Head of Prep School, Mr Joe Paget, our dedicated teachers and founding families, we will create a community where academic achievement goes hand-in-hand with personal growth, creativity, and global citizenship. Originally from the UK, Ms. Rachael Giles brings over 16 years of distinguished educational leadership experience across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East to her role as Executive Head of School at Sherborne School Jeddah. Her proven expertise in establishing new schools and strategic school improvement makes her uniquely positioned to set up our new school and guide it to exceptional heights.
Most recently serving as a School Improvement Partner with a premier education group in the UAE, Rachael led the successful opening of a new UK curriculum school, exceeding enrollment targets and recruiting over 110 staff members. Her previous leadership roles include Principal at Premium School in Abu Dhabi and senior positions at prestigious institutions including the British School of Barcelona and GEMS Wellington Academy in Dubai.
Rachael holds an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership, a Master’s in Education, and a PGCE in Secondary Education from the University of Bristol. She is currently completing the National Professional Qualification in Executive Leadership.
Under Rachael’s visionary leadership, Sherborne School Jeddah is perfectly positioned to establish itself as a leading educational institution that prepares our pupils to become confident, innovative, and compassionate global citizens.
